The new production of the Teatro dell'Opera features the intense and innovative vision of Russian director Vasily Barkhatov, making his debut in Rome, whose protagonist is mature Don Giovanni, entrusted to the performance of baritone Roberto Frontali. Against the backdrop of Zinovy Margolin's sets, the opera tells the exploits of the unrepentant and unscrupulous libertine who spends his life seducing women, amidst seduction games, deceptions and lies, until the tragic finale in which he dies in the flames of hell.
On stage, together with Frontali, is a cast of outstanding artists - Vito Priante (Leporello), Nadja Mchantaf (Donna Anna), Carmela Remigio (Donna Elvira), Anthony León (Don Ottavio), Mihai Damian (Masetto), Gianluca Buratto (il Commendatore) and Eleonora Bellocci (Zerlina) - accompanied by the Chorus and Orchestra of the Teatro dell'Opera, conducted respectively by Ciro Visco and Alessandro Cadario.
